Deep tissue massage is aimed at generic tightness arising from lifestyle and occupational factors such as prolonged desk based postures.

Sports massage is a form of Targeted deep tissue massage normally aimed at injury or training related tightness. Sports massage can also be used to target larger areas of chronic tightness built up from day to day life and occupational wear and tear. Other techniques like PNF stretching mobilisations and cross fibre work can be used.

Regular sports massage “maintenance” can help to prevent injuries due to a build up of training fatigue.
